WHO: Annie Sawyer, Open
WHEN: After this.
WHERE: Fifth Floor Hallway but can end up wherever.
WHAT: Wandering, maybe trying to find out what's going on.
WARNINGS: None for now.

The blood on her fingertip is really there. She doesn't get it. Ghosts do not bleed. Then there's the fact that it happened in a dream. Ghosts also don't sleep so that was kind of baffling her as well. What was going on?! She quickly rubbed the blood onto the sheet and threw the sheet on the floor. She stared at her door for a long time, recalling the dream.

Getting up, Annie made her way to her door. She was awake now. This wasn't the door from her dream. It would be fine. She opened the door slowly and saw the same hallway she's been seeing since she's been here. She peeked out and heard absolutely nothing. It took her awhile to gain the courage to step out but she did eventually, not sure exactly were she was headed.

Amelia Pond: aren't we all just a fairy tale?[personal profile] longagotomorrow on July 24th, 2010 11:12 pm (UTC)
Amy decided that the best thing to do was go to the pub. Nothing wrong with a little nightcap when your dreams were leaving you real presents and generally horrifying you more than they should be allowed.

The only thing she had to see by was a candle, but it did its job well enough as she made her way up to the fifth floor.

Was that... someone moving? It had better be a real person and not, oh, a freaky dream monster. She took a step towards what she really hoped was somebody who wasn't about to try to kill her.

"Hello?"

Annie heard someone approaching and froze. She really hoped it wasn't Owen again. She wasn't even sure if she was dreaming or not. Then whoever it was spoke. Female, so, not Owen.

"Erm... hello? Who's there? And before you tell me, answer this. Are you from my dreams?"

That was probably an odd question but best to get it out there.

Amelia Pond: I hate my whole life[personal profile] longagotomorrow on July 24th, 2010 11:27 pm (UTC)
"Uh, no, pretty sure I'm real," Amy answered, making a face. "I'm Amy. Who're you?"

She held the candle up to try and see the woman she was talking to. No one she recognized, or... got that awful sense of familiarity from.

"That's good, then. Can't be too sure around here. It's nice to meet you Amy. I'm Annie! I can't believe I haven't met you yet. Didn't think there was anyone here I haven't talked to."

Staring back at Amy, all Annie could see was a mop of pretty red hair. She really hoped she wasn't still dreaming. Those dreams had been terrifying and she'd rather not have them, thanks.

Amelia Pond: I'll be fine. totally fine.[personal profile] longagotomorrow on July 25th, 2010 11:00 pm (UTC)
"Same here. Probably good I decided to come up for a drink tonight, otherwise who knows when we would've bumped into each other." She held out her hand to for Annie to shake. "Nice to meet you too."

"A drink this late? Dreams getting to you too, huh? Mind if I tag along? Being alone right now is a bit scary."

Annie couldn't drink but she really didn't want to be alone. Hopefully Amy wouldn't notice the no drinking thing.

Amelia Pond: how you keep track[personal profile] longagotomorrow on July 26th, 2010 12:02 am (UTC)
"Yeah, I couldn't get back to sleep. The more the merrier, anyway." Amy pulled out the key to the pub and headed for the door.

"What've your dreams been about?"

"Oh, well. I dreamt of my grave. Then my ex-fiance. Then being pulled into a door with nothing but pitch blackness on the other side. Woke up before I went in the door, thank god."

Annie tried being vague about the dreams, not wanting anyone to know exactly what they meant. Her being a ghost would probably not warm people to her.

"How about you?"

"Your grave, really?" Amy asked, a concerned look flashing across her face. "You mean being in a grave, or what?" She opened the pub door and set her candle down before hopping up to sit on the bar.

She pulled the engagement ring out of her pocket and looked at it for a minute.

"I don't know. There was this man... I don't remember who he was." She closed her eyes and swallowed. "And then an angel. These... statues that come to life when you're not looking."

Grabbing the stool to the left of Amy, Annie examined the pub. Nice. Familiar. Looked a bit like the pub down the road, actually.

"I wasn't in it. Just looking at it. Then I looked around and all the gravestones said my name. Creepy, that was."

Annie shuddered thinking about it. She had visited her actual grave before, but it had not bothered her as much as it did in the nightmare. Something about that dream just left her feeling cold. Well, colder than she already was.

"Statues that came to life? I swear I'd pee my pants if that ever happened. My mum used to take me to those art museums with the sculptures of the people. I'd cry the whole time."

Amy reached over the bar and grabbed a bottle of beer. "You want anything?"

She popped the cap off the beer and took a short drink. "Sounds awful, yeah. Mine was just... dunno, it felt weird, like I was supposed to know what was going on but I didn't." Of course, the weeping angel had her pretty terrified, but she didn't plan on admitting that.

sorry about the delay! internet issues.
Annie almost said yeah when she was asked. Though it might seem odd when she couldn't actually drink it. "No, I'm good, thanks."

"Yeah? Mine was the exact opposite. I knew pretty much exactly what was going on and just wanted out."

Annie shivered, remembering the door. She did not think there would be one here. This seemed like a completely different reality and yet the door was still calling her to walk through.
