Who: Cordelia Chase, Doyle, Angel? and a monster.
What: Cordelia and Doyle go to face the monster in her vision.
Where: The first floor then outside
When: Day twenty one
Status: In Progress
The day had gone by and Angel never showed up. Doyle started to get a bit worried, but he still had hope, it wasn’t too late for the vampire to show up. Or, maybe they’d run into him on the way out. Doyle made sure to walk somewhat slow when they headed down the hallway and stopped here and there to look around.
Doyle stopped when they reached the front door. “Think we should wait just a few more minutes in case he shows. Have a good feeling about that, besides Angel wouldn’t let us down…unless he didn’t know what was going on, which he didn’t.” Doyle frowned. And, now Doyle started to feel a bit nervous about the whole situation. He was given another chance at life and gained some courage that he never had before. He didn't want this to be the end just yet. Though, if he had to, Doyle would give his life again to save others.

"Uh yeah, we should definitely wait. Not that I don't think we're not tough or anything but a little backup is always a good thing when you're facing, well, anything that we tend to run into."
Since her arrival, Cordy had managed to stash away a few crudely made stakes and a big kitchen knife. She'd yet to run into anyone with access to any real weapons but she was making do. Fiddling with one of the stakes in her grasp, she chewed her lip a little.
"Wonder what the chance is that Angel arrived here with an axe. Or a sword. Or both?" Cordelia pondered hopefully.

After a bit more wandering, he finally found Cordelia and Doyle. "Um...hey," he said simply. That 'hey' hid the fact that he was relieved to see Cordy here as well, but Angel wasn't known for being good at expressing his emotions, after all.

Doyle glanced over Angel and noticed the sword. "You found a sword?" That was good. "Got anything else?"

Cordelia trusted Doyle, she really did, but if this thing they were supposed kill was as powerful as it had appeared, she wanted as much firepower as possible. Looking Angel over, Cordelia was disappointed to find him without much else by way of weaponry.
"We made these stakes? Not the best but better than nothing. By the way, after this? We're so talking about how 'hey' isn't an okay greeting after I've been missing a whole month!" Cordy scowled just a little.

"Stakes look good, actually," he said to Cordelia. "As far as weapons, this is all I have, but I woke up with a key to the armory room, so we can get more stuff if you want to stop by there first. It's all good stuff."
no subject
"Do you think we have time to get anything else?" He looked over to Cordy. "I'm all about having more weapons, but also don't wanna miss the thing."

Considering what she had seen, it wasn't going to be an easy fight. Cordy wasnt even sure they could beat it without heavy weaponry. Gesturing for Angel to lead the way, she talked while they walked.
"We can make time and just be quick. I don't think flaming, monstrous, skeletal demons go down so easy. And this one was armed."
no subject
"Flaming, monstrous, skeletal demons?" Angel asked. "Sounds like your average Tuesday." With that, he turned around and started to lead the way to the armory that he had found, opening it up with the key that he had when they got there.

Doyle followed Angel down the hallway to the armory. Once inside Doyle looked around, "okay, what would be best for this Cordelia?"

Cordelia was satisfied having a small sword and a cross bow. She could get by but she wasn't the greatest fighter and preferred to do so at a distance. Once she'd managed to strap the sword to her belt, Cordy was ready to go and stood by the door impatiently.
"I saw it prowling around outside so that's where we need to head, no need to deal with this mess of a confusing place. Something to be thankful for, I guess."

"I'm ready when you guys are," he said when Cordelia went and stood by the door. He could read her well enough to be able to tell that she was ready to go and kill this...whatever it was.
