The basement has been converted into a decidedly disturbing place. About halfway down the stairs, shoes stick annoyingly to the surface of the steps. Looking down, it appears that every surface of the room has been covered in a slimy purple substance that seems to move and slink with a mind of its own. The creep moves with some kind of purpose towards the most obvious object in the room, a large pod that sits in the center, connected to the ceiling by several large pulsing purple and green veins.

Closer inspection of the pod reveals that it appears to be alive. It pulses with a steady beat, and you can almost make out what lies inside. It is humanoid in shape, though its curled up into almost a fetal position. Any attempts to puncture or scratch the pod cause it to 'scream' and shake violently, though nothing can seem to actually cause any damage.
