"Yea," Sookie smiled, "I'm new to this whole mess." Small talk really wasn't something that was needed and Sookie was more then happy to skip that as well. She was feeling more on edge then she usually did since her abilities weren't working properly.

Sookie peered back at the guy. So far nothing seemed wrong. She really couldn't get a read on him, but she was sure that if he were thinking something hostile, she would hear that, as those thoughts were usually louder.

When Sam got a bit closer, Sookie lightly smiled his way. Even if she didn't trust the man yet and wanted to just rattle off to him on way he needs to leave Eric alone, she knew that playing friendly was the way to go about this; at least for now.
