Eric was on full alert as he spotted the two approaching figures, their shapes outlined in the darkness. He made a soft noise in his throat, letting Sookie know that he'd heard her. He didn't want to comment back - the less the vampire hunter knew, the better. It was enough that Eric's secret was out - he intended to keep hers. It would benefit them both.

Rose broke away from her friend and came a bit closer, and Eric did his best not to be 'creepy,' as she'd put it. His grin was as friendly as was possible for him, with not a fang in sight.

"Good evening, Rose," he said pleasantly. "I am sorry I couldn't mention it earlier." Eric motioned behind him, towards the blonde waitress. "This is Sookie, an employee of mine. A human employee." It was as good a title as any. She had done paying work for him. "She insisted on coming."
