"Hey now!" She took some offense to what he had said. "I can act very fine, thank you and do you really think I wouldn’t be able to do it?" She did understand his reasoning, she just didn't want to say it. "Do you have that little faith in me, Eric?"
"Well gee, I don't know, it could be some elaborate set up of yours for someone." Ok, yea, this was starting to become a bit too much for Eric's doing. "Outer space!?" Sookie got excited. "You mean an actual real life alien? I'd like to meet him, if I could! He's not evil is he? Usually the ones on those movies are. I wonder if I can read his mind!" Sookie really did want to know if that would work on aliens.
"If the other universe thing is true then maybe in some they do." Sookie for the most part was taking all of this rather well. If this would have been before Bill, then maybe some of this would have been a bit harder for her to believe. But, after all that she has seen recently, it isn't that hard to believe some more.
"You're right, it should have happened, but it didn’t." She took a step towards him, this time sounding more sympathetic towards him, "I can't believe he tried to kill you because of it; that was not right." That also meant Bill was never planning to tell her. "I just want to know if there's anything else I don't know about." She really couldn't take any more lies. "Do you really care about me, or is it the blood? Or, my abilities to read minds?"
