Brooke remembered what happened in this part of the movie, so she didn't waste any time; instead of standing there staring at the sky full of monkeys, she took off running. Of course, her brilliant idea to try to escape only succeeded in her getting further away from everyone before one of the monkeys swooped down and grabbed her by the arms.

Internally, she was cursing herself. Externally, she was trying to get the monkey off her as she screamed for helped. "You guys can't let them take me," she yelled, because she knew exactly what would happen to her. And just because the movie ended happily didn't mean that the book did.

Suddenly, she found herself regretting not caring more about English.
